International Transportation Program
This program is designed to assist both importers and exporters in controlling and
minimizing ocean and air freight costs. FDSI Logistics will:
- Provide an in-depth analysis of current shipping methods, carriers and costs in
order to identify opportunities for improvement while learning about your business
needs
- With FDSI’s knowledge of the marketplace and our buying leverage,
FDSI will negotiate existing and new ocean and air carriers and forwarders to achieve
the agreed-upon service and pricing levels
- Provide an integrated tracking and
tracing system which adds support to your logistics, customer service, sales and
purchasing departments
- Provide a freight bill audit ensuring that negotiated
freight rates are properly applied
- Provide accounting reports itemizing all
international activity
Small Parcel
FDSI audits all of your guaranteed parcel and air invoices. We are compensated for
our ongoing services through a service fee or a percentage of the documented savings.
The program includes a no-cost Analytical Survey to determine if there are opportunities
for improving your use of overnight air, i.e. reduce your costs while maintaining
service levels
Post-Audit Services
Duplicate payments and undiscovered overcharges are among the most overlooked areas
of a company’s shipping costs. Overcharge claims are filed on behalf of the
client for a percentage of the recovery.
Bulk Transportation Program
The FDSI Bulk Transportation Program provides assurance of the optimum freight cost
consistent with safety, service and volume levels. The program provides single-source
customer service for all your bulk transportation needs, from shipment verification
